Gennaro Ivan Gattuso, born 9 January 1978, in Corigliano Calabro, Italy, is an Italian footballer, who performs for Serie A club Milan. He generally plays defensive midfielder. Gattuso is a tough player and at his best was broadly considered to be among the best defensive midfielders worldwide. In the course of his career at Milan, he won the Champions League, in 2002-03 and 2006-07, as well as the Serie A title in 2003-04 and 2010-11. He also got a key role in Italy's World Cup triumph in 2006.
